Educational Qualification

Essential Qualification

Candidates must possess:

• Medical qualification included in the First/Second Schedule or Part-II of Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• Registration with Central/State Medical Council.
• MD/MS/DNB in concerned specialty or equivalent qualification.
• Valid qualification/pass certificate on the last date of application.

Department-wise Special Qualifications

Special qualifications are prescribed for:

• Cardiology
• Medical Gastroenterology
• Medical Oncology
• Nephrology
• Burns & Plastic Surgery
• CTVS
• Neurosurgery
• Pediatric Surgery
• Surgical Gastroenterology
• Surgical Oncology
• Urology
• Neonatology
• Trauma & Emergency
• Pulmonary Medicine
• Endocrinology

For Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, and Clinical Immunology & Rheumatology, both Medical and eligible Non-Medical candidates (M.Sc./M.Biotech with Ph.D. as prescribed) may apply.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 45 Years

Cut-off Date

Age shall be calculated on the last date of submission of applications. Date of Birth recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Certificate will be accepted.

Age Relaxation

• Relaxation as per Government of India rules.
• No age relaxation for reserved category candidates applying against UR vacancies.
• Documentary proof is mandatory for claiming relaxation.

Selection Process / Recruitment Process

Selection will be through:

1.      Document Verification

2.      Walk-in Interview

3.      Physical appearance before Interview Board (No online interview)

4.      Screening Committee may shortlist candidates after verification.

Pay Scale / Salary Details

Medical Candidates

• Level-11 Pay Matrix
• Minimum ₹67,700/- + NPA + applicable allowances

Non-Medical Candidates

• Level-10 Pay Matrix
• Minimum ₹56,100/- + applicable allowances
• NPA not applicable.

Important Instructions / Terms & Conditions

• Walk-in Interview only.
• Online interview will not be conducted.
• Tenure is 3 years, subject to previous residency period.
• Reservation as per Central Government rules.
• 4% reservation for PwBD (horizontal).
• OBC-NCL certificate must be issued on or after 01.04.2026.
• EWS certificate for FY 2026–27 must be valid and issued as prescribed.
• Government employees must produce original NOC.
• Incomplete applications will be rejected.
• Private practice is prohibited.
• Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in the Institute.
• Appointment is subject to medical fitness and verification.
• No TA/DA will be paid.
• AIIMS reserves the right to amend/cancel the advertisement or vary vacancies.
• Any false information or suppression of facts will lead to cancellation of candidature.
• Court jurisdiction: Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh.
