Educational Qualification

·         Qualification: Bachelor’s / Master’s / Equivalent Degree from a recognized university.

·         Minimum Marks: 50% in Graduation/Post-Graduation or equivalent.

·         Engineering/Other Prescribed Graduate Qualification: Minimum 55% marks, as applicable under the admission rules.

·         Relaxation: 5% marks relaxation for eligible Chhattisgarh reserved/special categories – SC, ST, OBC, Women, Ex-Servicemen, FF & PwD.

·         Grace Marks: Eligible if aggregate reaches 50% as per applicable university rules.

·         Below 50% in Graduation: Candidate may qualify based on Post-Graduation with at least 50% marks.

Age Limit

Candidate should not be more than 30 years of age as on 31 December 2026.


Admission / Selection Process

Entrance Examination

Admission is based on the candidate's marks in the Pre B.Ed. Examination 2026.

The candidate must enter the Pre B.Ed. 2026 Roll Number during online registration.

Merit List Criteria

SCERT states that B.Ed. merit will be determined according to the combined merit order issued by Vyapam on the basis of Pre B.Ed. Examination 2026 marks.

Seat allotment depends on:

  • Pre B.Ed. examination marks/merit
  • Combined merit rank
  • Candidate's college choices
  • Availability of seats

Merely participating in the allotment process does not guarantee a seat.

Tie-Breaking

If candidates obtain equal Pre B.Ed. marks:

1.      The older candidate by date of birth gets preference.

2.      If date of birth is also the same, names are arranged according to English alphabetical order.

Counselling

Counselling is conducted online.

Candidates must:

  • Register online.
  • Pay counselling fee.
  • Fill college/institution choices.
  • Lock/finalize choices.
  • Check allotment.
  • Download/print allotment letter.
  • Report to the allotted institution.
  • Undergo document verification.
  • Pay the prescribed admission fee.

How to Apply – Step-by-Step

Step 1 – Registration

·         Visit the SCERT website/Counselling Portal.

·         Select B.Ed. Registration & Choice Filling.

·         Enter Pre B.Ed. Roll No., personal details, mobile number & email ID.

·         Create password and complete OTP verification.

Step 2 – Fill Application

·         Enter category, domicile, qualification and address details.

·         Upload photograph and required documents.

·         Preview and verify all details before submission.

Step 3 – Fee & Choice Filling

·         Pay ₹350 counselling fee online.

·         Select one or more colleges and arrange them in priority order.

·         Save and finalize the choices.

Step 4 – Print Application

·         Download/print the Application & Option Form.

·         Keep the printout safely for counselling/admission.

Note: Choices can be modified before locking/final deadline. The last submitted choice form will be treated as final.


Required Documents

The PDF specifies/indicates the following documents for online registration and subsequent verification:

·         Pre B.Ed. 2026 Mark Sheet/Score Sheet

·         10th & 12th Mark Sheets

·         Graduation Mark Sheets – All Years

·         Post-Graduation Mark Sheets – If applicable

·         Birth Proof – 10th/12th Mark Sheet or Birth Certificate

·         Category/Special Category Certificate – If applicable

·         Chhattisgarh Domicile Certificate

·         Recent Photograph

Note: Without a Chhattisgarh Domicile Certificate, the candidate will be considered under the All India Quota.


Reservation Policy

Seat reservation will be applied according to the reservation rules currently applicable in the State of Chhattisgarh.

The PDF also states that reservation in Government and private institutions will be governed by the prevailing applicable rules.

The entire admission process is subject to applicable Government reservation provisions and relevant judicial orders mentioned in the notice.

·         Counselling participation does not guarantee seat allotment.

·         Allotment depends on merit rank, college choices, and seat availability.

·         Fill and prioritize college choices carefully.

·         Application errors are the candidate’s responsibility; correct them before choice locking.

·         Document verification will be done by the allotted institution.

·         Regularly check the portal for allotment; SMS/post communication is not guaranteed.

·         After allotment, download the allotment letter and report within the prescribed time.

·         Original documents and entered marks will be verified; discrepancies may lead to cancellation.

·         Admission closes at 5:00 PM on the last date.

·         After admission, college change/mutual transfer is not allowed.

·         Candidates may cancel an unwanted allotment once through login, subject to applicable rules.

·         Not Reported/removed candidates may need fresh registration and fee payment for the next phase.

·         If seats remain vacant, an additional counselling phase may be conducted.

·         In case of dispute, the Director, SCERT Raipur’s decision will be final and binding.
