Educational Qualification

Candidate must have passed 10+2 level (Higher Secondary Certificate Examination) from a recognized board.

Minimum Marks

• General: Minimum 50%
• Reserved categories of Chhattisgarh: 5% relaxation in qualifying examination marks, as per D.El.Ed. Admission Rules.

Age Limit

As on 01 July 2026:

• Minimum Age: 17 years
• Maximum Age: No upper age limit

SC/ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and other eligible categories will receive relaxation according to Chhattisgarh Government General Administration Department instructions.

Subject Requirements

Candidates must also have participated in Pre D.El.Ed. Examination 2026.

Admission is through online counselling and seat allotment.

Merit List Criteria

A combined merit rank is prepared primarily on the basis of Pre D.El.Ed. examination marks.

In case of equal marks:

1.      Candidate with higher age gets preference.

2.      If date of birth is also the same, names are arranged alphabetically.

Seat Allotment

Allotment depends on:

• Combined merit rank
• Availability of seats in colleges/institutions
• Candidate's preference/order of choices

Document Verification

Documents will be verified by the allotted institution/college.

Registration can be completed using an internet-enabled device, cyber café or internet service facility.

How to Apply – Short Steps

1.      Visit SCERT website or the counselling portal.

2.      Open Round 1 Registration and Choice Filling for D.El.Ed.

3.      Select New Candidate Registration.

4.      Agree to the counselling consent form.

5.      Enter Pre D.El.Ed. Roll Number, name, parents' names, DOB and security PIN.

6.      Enter mobile number and email ID and create password.

7.      Verify mobile/email through OTP.

8.      Complete personal/category/domicile details.

9.      Enter educational qualification details.

10. Fill correspondence/permanent address.

11. Upload required documents and photograph.

12. Preview and Final Submit the application.

13. Pay ₹300 counselling fee.

14. Select preferred institutions/colleges.

15. Arrange choices in preference order and save/lock them.

16. Print the Application and Option Form.

17. After allotment, report to the allotted institution with original documents and admission fee.

Reservation Policy

Reservation will apply according to the current rules of the Chhattisgarh Government.

The notification specifically refers to the reservation provisions under Chhattisgarh Government General Administration Department letter dated 07.08.2023 and states that the admission process will remain subject to the final order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in SLP (C) No. 19668/2022.

Institution-wise seats are also identified for Chhattisgarh residents and All India candidates.

Important Instructions

• Select institutions carefully based on merit, seat availability, and choice priority.
• At least one institution choice is mandatory.
• Counselling participation does not guarantee admission.
• Corrections are restricted after final submission.
• Choices can be changed only before locking.
• Once choices are locked, no correction is allowed.
• For errors after locking, re-registration and fee payment may be required.
• Selected candidates must report within the prescribed time.
• Carry the allotment letter and original documents while reporting.
• Failure to report may remove the candidate from the online admission process.
• After admission, college/institution change is not allowed.
• Mutual transfer is not permitted.
• Government institutions do not process admissions on Sundays/government holidays.
• Other institutions must remain open as directed for admission processing.
