Sports Disciplines

Candidates can apply under the following sports:

Athletics, Basketball, Boxing, Chess, Cricket, Cycle Polo, Cycling, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Handball, Hockey, Kabaddi, Lawn Tennis, Shooting, Squash, Swimming/Diving, Volleyball, Water Polo, Weight Lifting, Wrestling, Wushu, Sport Climbing, MTB.

Educational Qualification

Science Subjects

Candidate must have:

1.      10+2 / Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks aggregate and 50% in English
OR

2.      Three year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation / IT) with 50% marks and 50% English
OR

3.      Two year vocational course with Physics and Mathematics with 50% aggregate and 50% English.

Other Than Science Subjects

1.      10+2 / Intermediate in any stream with 50% aggregate and 50% English
OR

2.      Two year vocational course with 50% aggregate and 50% English.

Sports Eligibility

Candidate must have any of the following achievements:

• Represented India in Junior/Senior International competitions recognized by IOC
  OR
• Achieved minimum 5th position in Junior National competitions or represented State/UT in Senior Nationals
  OR
• Represented State/UT in National level team events
• Special eligibility rules apply for Cricket, Shooting and Chess categories.

Age Limit

• Candidate must be born between 02 July 2005 and 02 January 2009 (both inclusive).
• Upper age limit at enrolment must not exceed 21 years.

Marital Status

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible and they must remain unmarried during the 4-year engagement period.

Medical Standards (Important)

• Minimum Height: 152 cm
• Chest: 77 cm with 5 cm expansion
• Hearing: Normal hearing up to 6 meters whisper test
• Vision: 6/12 each eye correctable to 6/6
• Myopia: -1 D
• Hypermetropia: +2.0 D
• LASIK/PRK surgery candidates not eligible.

Selection Process / Recruitment Process

Selection will be conducted in the following stages:

1.      Document Verification

2.      Physical Fitness Test

3.      Sports Skill Trials

4.      Medical Examination

Physical Fitness Test

• 1.6 km run within 7 minutes
• 10 Push-ups
• 10 Sit-ups
• 20 Squats

Pay Scale / Salary Details

Monthly Package

Seva Nidhi Package

Approx ₹10.04 lakh after 4 years (excluding interest).

Important Instructions / Terms & Conditions

• Service duration will be 4 years under Agnipath Scheme.
• Up to 25% of Agniveervayu may be enrolled in regular cadre after 4 years.
• Permanent body tattoos are generally not permitted except certain locations.
• Candidates must bring original documents during trials.
• No TA/DA will be provided for trials or medical examination.
• Selection is strictly merit-based and transparent.
