Educational Qualification

For Medical Officer (Medical):

• MBBS qualification is required.
• Permanent registration with the Rajasthan Medical Council (RMC) is mandatory according to the conditions specified in the booklet.
• Knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthan's culture is required/preferred as stated in the eligibility section.

The MBBS degree must be recognized according to the provisions of the NMC Act.

Permanent RMC Registration

If the Permanent RMC registration certificate is not available while filling the application:

• It must be uploaded within 2 days after the examination.
• The issue date of the Permanent RMC certificate must be on or before the examination date.
• The candidate must have the Permanent RMC registration by/on the examination date; otherwise, the candidate will not be eligible.

Age Limit

Age as on 01 January 2027:

• Minimum Age: 22 years
• Maximum Age: 45 years

Age Relaxation

For Rajasthan reserved-category candidates, upper-age relaxation is applicable according to State Government rules.

As stated in the booklet:

• Rajasthan SC/ST/BC/MBC/EWS male candidates: maximum 5 years relaxation.
• Rajasthan SC/ST/BC/MBC/EWS female candidates: maximum 10 years relaxation.
• Rajasthan General-category female candidates: maximum 5 years relaxation.
• Ex-Servicemen: maximum age 50 years.
• Widow and deserted women: No maximum age limit.
• Other age relaxation is as prescribed under the applicable Government rules/circulars referred to in the booklet.

Non-Bonafide Rajasthan Residents

Candidates who are Non-Bonafide Residents of Rajasthan will be treated as Unreserved (UR) candidates and will not receive reservation benefits relating to:

• Age
• Category
• Fee relaxation

Eligibility for Foreign Medical Graduates

Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India who obtained their primary medical qualification from a medical college outside India must:

1.      Qualify the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (Screening Test) according to Screening Test Regulations, 2002, as amended.

2.      The examination is conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences.

3.      Obtain a Permanent Registration Certificate from Rajasthan Medical Council (RMC), Jaipur.

4.      The Permanent RMC registration must be obtained on or before the MODRE-2026 examination date.

5.      The certificate must be uploaded according to the schedule specified in the booklet.

The Medical Officers Direct Recruitment Examination-2026 is described as an eligibility-cum-ranking examination for recruitment to Medical Officer posts in Government of Rajasthan.

Syllabus

The syllabus comprises all subjects studied by an MBBS graduate during the four-and-a-half-year curriculum, as prescribed by the NMC/competent authority.

Recruitment Responsibility

• RUHS: Conduct of examination and declaration of result.
• Government of Rajasthan/Designated Authority: Document verification, final eligibility and recruitment.
• Appearing in the examination does not itself establish eligibility.
• Final eligibility is determined after verification of documents and fulfillment of applicable criteria.

Pay Scale / Salary Details

Medical Officer (Medical)

Pay Scale: ₹15,600–39,100
Pay Level: Level 14

During the one-year probation period, the amount currently payable is stated as:

• ₹39,300 per month
• Medical care allowance: ₹17,400 per month
• Total stated amount: ₹56,700 per month

How to Apply — Step-by-Step

Step 1 — Read the Instructions

Step 2 — Online Registration

Complete Stage 1 – Online Registration.

Be careful because corrections in Stage 1 cannot be made after submission.

Step 3 — Detailed Application Form

Complete Stage 2, including:

• Personal details
• Qualification details
• Employment details
• Responsible officer information
• Document uploads

Stage-2 details can be edited until online fee payment.

Step 4 — Check Application

After Stage 2:

• Take a printout of the filled form.
• Check all information carefully.
• Make corrections, if permitted, before fee payment.

Step 5 — Pay Fee

Complete Stage 3:

• Deposit the examination fee online.
• Submit the application finally.

Step 6 — Save Registration Details

Candidates should note and safely keep their:

• Registration ID
• Password

Step 7 — Admit Card

Admit cards will be made available through the RUHS website. Candidates who do not complete all three application stages will not be eligible for issue of an admit card.

o    If still undergoing internship, upload a letter from the Principal & Controller of the concerned medical college mentioning the expected completion date.

12. PG Marksheet and Degree, if applicable

13. Scanned candidate signature — 50KB–200KB, JPEG/JPG

14. Scanned right thumb impression — 50KB–200KB, JPEG/JPG

15. Scanned left thumb impression — 50KB–200KB, JPEG/JPG

Documents Required at Examination Centre

Candidates must bring:

A. Admit Card

Printed copy of the admit card with photograph pasted on it.

B. Original Valid Photo ID

Any one of:

• PAN Card
• Passport
• Voter ID
• Driving Licence
• Aadhaar Card with photograph

The name on the ID must match the name on the admit card.

e-Aadhaar: It will be accepted only when the e-Aadhaar number is printed on it and it is a good-quality coloured printout with clearly visible photograph.

Important Instructions / Terms & Conditions

Application

• Application is accepted only online through RUHS website.
• Only one application form can be submitted.
• Multiple applications may result in debarment/cancellation.
• Mandatory fields must not be left blank.
• Incomplete applications will be rejected.
• False/fabricated information or documents can result in cancellation at any stage.
• RUHS will not entertain requests for changing information after submission.

RMC Registration

Permanent Rajasthan Medical Council registration must be available on or before the examination date. If not uploaded initially, it must be uploaded within two days after the examination. Failure to comply will result in cancellation of candidature/result. Offline submission of the certificate is not accepted.

Examination Centre

• Examination centre will preferably be at Jaipur.
• RUHS may create examination cities/centres and can call candidates to any city/centre.
• Request for change of examination date/centre will not be entertained.
• Late entry is not permitted.
• Candidates must report according to the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.

No storage facility for candidates' belongings will be provided at examination centres.

Examination Hall

• Bio-breaks are not permitted after entering the examination hall.
• Candidates cannot leave the examination hall until the final bell.

Dress Code

The booklet specifies a prescribed dress code for male and female candidates, including restrictions on jewellery, watches, belts, handbags, caps, scarves/stoles and other accessories. Candidates are permitted to wear sandals/shoes and socks up to the ankle as specified. Any doubt regarding dress/accessories will be decided by the examination-centre officials.
