Educational Qualification

Candidate must have passed at least:

• Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSC / Class 10), OR
• Class 10 equivalent Diploma
• Qualification must be from a recognized higher secondary school/institution.

Domicile / Residence Requirement

This is an important mandatory eligibility condition:

• Candidate must be an original resident of Pune District.
• Candidate must have been residing in Pune District for at least 15 years.
• A competent-authority-issued Domicile Certificate from the year 2018 onwards must be produced as proof.
• Domicile Certificate and Aadhaar Card must be uploaded while submitting the online application.
• The original domicile certificate will be verified during document verification.

Married Female Candidates

For a married woman who is originally from outside Pune District:

• Her husband's original Pune District domicile certificate must be submitted.
• Marriage Registration Certificate issued by the competent authority must also be submitted.

Physical Requirement

The candidate must be physically fit/capable of performing the physical work associated with the Shipai post.

Age Relaxation

Candidates working in the bank through various agencies on a contract basis and having at least 3 years of continuous service as on 01 August 2026 can receive relaxation in the maximum age limit.

Maximum age after such relaxation: 43 years.

Offline Written Examination

The examination will be conducted through the OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) method.

Subject-wise Examination Pattern

Document Verification

Candidates will be shortlisted for document verification in the ratio of 1:3 against the vacant posts, based on marks obtained in the written examination.

The list will be prepared in descending order of marks.

The list will be published on the bank's official websites.

During Document Verification

Candidates must submit:

• Original educational qualification certificates
• Other relevant original certificates
• Original Domicile Certificate
• Other documents supporting the eligibility claimed in the application

Candidates found eligible after document verification will be allowed to proceed further.

Interview

Candidates qualifying in document verification will be called for interview.

Interview Marks

The interview will consider aspects including:

• Basic knowledge of banking

• Service attitude
• Basic principles of cooperation
• Etiquette / manners

A candidate remaining absent from the interview will be considered ineligible for final selection.

Final Selection List & Waiting List

Final merit will be prepared by combining:

• Written Examination marks
• Interview marks

A waiting list equal to 20% of the vacant posts will also be prepared.

The final selection list and waiting list will be published on the bank's official websites.

Waiting List Validity

The waiting list will remain valid for one year from the date of publication of the final selection list.

Tie-Breaking Rules

If two or more candidates obtain equal marks, priority will be decided in the following order:

1.      Higher age

2.      Experience

3.      Alphabetical order of surname in English

Selected candidates will be appointed subject to the bank's prevailing terms and conditions.

Important Fee Conditions

• Examination fee is non-refundable.
• Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
• Fee will not be reserved/adjusted for another examination or recruitment.
• Registration will not be completed unless the examination fee is paid.
