Minimum Marks

Rounding off is not permitted. For example, 54.99% will not be considered as 55%.

Where CGPA/OGPA/DGPA or Letter Grade is awarded, equivalent percentage must be indicated according to the University's/Institute's norms.

Experience Requirements

Chief General Manager – E8(a)

Vacancies: 1

Minimum experience: 27 years post-qualification executive experience in Erection/Commissioning and/or O&M of Coal-based Thermal Power Plant.

Out of this, at least 8 years of relevant O&M experience must be in a Super Critical Thermal Power Plant of minimum 660 MW capacity.

For private-sector candidates: CTC should not be less than ₹27 lakh per annum, and the candidate should work in a reputed organization having minimum annual turnover of ₹2,500 crore or more.

Deputy Manager – E4

Minimum experience: 7 years post-qualification executive experience in Erection/Commissioning and/or O&M of Coal-based Thermal Power Plant.

At least 3 years relevant O&M experience should be in a Super Critical Thermal Power Plant of minimum 660 MW capacity.

For Govt./CPSE candidates: should be working in ₹60,000–3%–₹1,80,000 IDA or equivalent scale for the last 4 years.

For private-sector candidates:

• Minimum CTC: ₹13.62 lakh per annum
• Employer's minimum annual turnover: ₹2,500 crore or more

Relevant functional areas:

• Mechanical: TG & Auxiliaries/BOP & Auxiliaries/Fuel Management/Ash Utilization/Maintenance Planning/O&M Stores

Engineer – E2

Minimum 3 years post-qualification executive experience in Erection/Commissioning and/or O&M of Coal-based Thermal Power Plant.

At least 1 year relevant O&M experience should be in a Super Critical Thermal Power Plant of minimum 660 MW capacity.

Private-sector candidates should work in a reputed organization having minimum annual turnover of ₹2,500 crore or more.

Experience Relaxation

SC/ST candidates get one-year relaxation in total prescribed experience where the experience requirement is more than three years.

Experience Not Counted

The following will not be counted:

• Teaching experience
• Internship
• Apprenticeship
• Pre-qualification experience
• Sabbatical Leave period
• Extra Ordinary Leave period

Private-Sector Turnover & Verification Requirements

Minimum annual turnover requirement: ₹2,500 crore.

The average audited annual turnover of the three financial years preceding the current year will be considered.

CTC verification requires:

• Last pay certificate
• Salary slips for last 6 months
• PF slips for last 6 months
• Certificate on organization's letterhead clearly mentioning CTC and subdivision of CTC under different heads
• Form 16 for last 2 financial years
• ITR for last 2 financial years

Age Limit

Age is calculated as on the closing date of online application: 26 August 2026.

Only Indian Nationals aged 18 years or above are eligible.

All computations of age, qualification and experience are as on the closing date for submitting applications through the website.

Age Relaxation

For J&K candidates, the 5-year relaxation applies to candidates ordinarily domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989.

PwBD age relaxation applies irrespective of whether the post is reserved, provided the post is identified as suitable for PwBD.

Maximum upper age after all relaxations: 55 years.

Internal Applicants

• There is no age bar for Internal Applicants.
• Internal candidates possessing AMIE in respective disciplines are also eligible for the above posts/disciplines.

SJVN Management may raise minimum eligibility standards/criteria and/or conduct a Screening Test to restrict the number of candidates called for interview.

Screening Test, if conducted

It will be qualifying/elimination in nature.

• UR/EWS/ESM: 50% qualifying marks
• Other reserved vacancies: 40% qualifying marks

Screening Test marks will have no weightage in final merit.

Interview Qualifying Marks

• UR/EWS/ESM: 50%
• SC/ST/PwBD/OBC(NCL): 40%

Candidates may appear for Personal Interview in Hindi or English.

Final Selection

Final selection/merit will be based only on marks secured in the Personal Interview.

Candidates qualifying in the interview will be considered for empanelment. Appointment offers will be issued in order of category-wise merit and requirement.

Medical Fitness

Joining SJVN after receiving an Offer of Appointment is subject to Medical Fitness.

Selected candidates are advised to resign from their current organization only after being declared medically fit under SJVN's medical rules.

SJVN will bear no responsibility if a candidate resigns before being declared medically fit.

OBC / Reservation Certificate Requirements

OBC (NCL) candidates must produce the latest certificate in the prescribed Government of India format from a competent authority.

The certificate should have been issued:

• In FY 2026-27, or
• Within 6 months at the time of interview.

OBC candidates belonging to the Creamy Layer are not entitled to OBC concession and must indicate their category as General.

Candidates claiming OBC (NCL) reservation must belong to the category as on the last date of online application.

No extension of time for producing required certificates/documents beyond the Personal Interview date will be allowed.

Important Instructions / Terms & Conditions

• Only Indian Nationals aged 18 years or above can apply.
• Candidates must satisfy all prescribed eligibility conditions.
• Eligibility at Document Verification/Interview stages is provisional until verified.
• If a candidate is found ineligible at any stage, candidature can be rejected/cancelled.
