Educational Qualification

1. Architectural Assistant

• Adequate knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script.
• Must possess the prescribed architectural qualification/experience.
• Intermediate Certificate in Architecture with prescribed relevant experience.
• OR prescribed full-time/part-time Architecture Course with relevant experience.
• OR three-year full-time Diploma in Architectural Assistantship.
• Diploma should be from U.P. Board of Technical Education or a recognized institution.
• Relevant experience in architectural planning/design-related drawing is required.
• For Diploma holders, 3 years of relevant experience is required.
• Competent authority for Experience Certificate: Housing Commissioner.

Preferential Qualification

• Served in Territorial Army for minimum 2 years.
• OR obtained NCC ‘B’ Certificate.
• Such candidates will be given preference, other things being equal.

2. Estate Manager

• Graduate from a recognized University.
• Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script.

Preferential Qualification

• MBA from a recognized State-level/National-level University/Institution.
• OR PGDM from a recognized State-level/National-level University/Institution.
• Degree obtained through Distance Education Mode will not be recognized for this purpose.

3. Microbiologist

• Post-Graduate Degree in Microbiology.
• Degree must be from a University established by law in India.
• OR qualification recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Microbiological Testing of Food.
• No qualification equivalent to M.Sc. in Microbiology has been prescribed for the post.
• Experience Certificate must be issued by the prescribed competent authority.
• Competent authority: concerned Department/Institution’s Head of Department/Chief Manager, as specified.

Preferential Qualification

• Served in Territorial Army for minimum 2 years.
• OR obtained NCC ‘B’ Certificate.
• Such candidates will be given preference, other things being equal.

Qualification Cut-off

• All requisite qualifications must be possessed up to the last date of application.
• Candidates merely appearing in the examination for essential qualification are not eligible.

Age Limit

• Cut-off Date: 01 July 2026.
• Minimum Age: 21 Years.
• Maximum Age: 40 Years.
• Candidate must not have been born earlier than 02 July 1986.
• Candidate must not have been born later than 01 July 2005.

PH Candidates

• Maximum Age Limit: 55 Years.

• Age Relaxation: 3 Years + Period of Service Rendered in Army.

Chief Minister Fellowship Programme Research Scholars

• Completed Tenure 1 Year – Age Relaxation 1 Year.
• Completed Tenure 2 Years – Age Relaxation 2 Years.
• Completed Tenure 3 Years or more – Age Relaxation 3 Years.
• Tenure will be calculated as on 01 July 2026.
• Specific eligibility conditions apply for fellowship-related relaxation.

Important Reservation / Age Relaxation Rules

• SC/ST/OBC/EWS/DFF/PH/Skilled Players/Ex-Servicemen candidates who are not permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh will not get reservation/age relaxation benefits.
• If relaxation is claimed under more than one category, only one concession will be allowed.
• The more beneficial concession will be applicable.

Selection Process / Recruitment Process

• UPPSC will conduct separate examinations.
• Examination will be conducted at various centres in district/districts of Uttar Pradesh.
• Separate examination for Architectural Assistant.
• Separate examination for Estate Manager.
• Separate examination for Microbiologist.
• Selection will be based on marks obtained in the examination.
• Examination date will be communicated through e-Admission Certificate/e-Admit Card.
• Examination centre will be communicated through e-Admission Certificate/e-Admit Card.

Negative Marking

• Objective-type papers will have negative marking.
• Each question will have four alternatives.
• 1/3 (0.33) marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
• More than one marked answer will be treated as incorrect.
• This applies even if one of the marked answers is correct.
• No penalty for unanswered questions.

Minimum Efficiency Standard

• SC/ST Candidates – Minimum 35%.
• Other Categories – Minimum 40%.
• Candidates scoring below the minimum standard will be treated as disqualified.

Medical Examination

• Selected candidates must undergo Medical Examination.
• Medical Examination will be conducted as required under applicable rules.
