Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has released an official notification for the engagement of 750 Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for FY 2026-27. Graduates from recognized universities can apply online from 07 July 2026 to 20 July 2026. Candidates must register on NAPS/NATS and submit their application through the BFSI SSC portal. Selection will be based on an online examination, local language test, document verification, medical fitness, and personal interaction (if required). Educational Qualification

  • Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University.
  • Equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of India is acceptable.
  • Graduation result must have been declared on or before 31 July 2026.
  • For NATS candidates, graduation result should have been declared between 01 March 2022 and 31 July 2026 (inclusive).

Nationality

  • Candidate must be an Indian Citizen.

Age Limit

Cut-off Date: 01 July 2026

  • Minimum Age: 20 Years
  • Maximum Age: 28 Years

For General/EWS:

  • Date of Birth between 01.07.1998 and 01.07.2006 (inclusive).

Candidates under NAPS should be below 34 years after applicable relaxation.

Important Instructions / Terms & Conditions

  • Apprenticeship period is one year.
  • Apprentices are not Bank employees.
  • No guarantee of permanent employment.
  • Candidates with one year or more job/training experience after graduation are not eligible.
  • Previous apprentices of IOB or any organization are not eligible.
  • No reservation for Ex-servicemen.
  • 12 casual leaves per year.
  • Hostel and transport facilities are not provided.
  • Final apprenticeship certificate will be issued after successful completion and assessment.
  • Bank may terminate apprenticeship for misconduct, unauthorized absence, poor performance, or violation of rules.
  • Application fee is non-refundable.
  • Bank reserves the right to modify or cancel the recruitment process.
  • Court jurisdiction: Chennai.
