Educational Qualification

Mechanic Diesel

1.      High School or equivalent examination from a recognized board, or Class 11 passed under the old system.

2.      A relevant trade qualification through one of the following routes specified in the notification:

o    National Trade Certificate from the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).

o    National Apprenticeship Certificate from the National Apprenticeship Training Council (as described in the notification).

o    State Trade Certificate from the State Council for Vocational Training together with the prescribed National Apprenticeship Certificate.

o    Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering or an equivalent discipline from a recognized university or board.

3.      A valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving licence is mandatory.

Mechanic Electric Vehicle

1.      High School from a recognized board, or Class 11 under the old system, or an equivalent examination.

2.      A relevant technical qualification in the applicable trade through one of the following routes specified in the notification:

o    National Trade Certificate (NCVT).

o    National Apprenticeship Certificate.

o    State Trade Certificate with the prescribed National Apprenticeship Certificate.

o    B.Voc.

o    Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or board.

o    Relevant Advanced Diploma (Vocational) from DGT.

3.      A valid LMV driving licence is mandatory.

Additional qualification rules:

• Equivalence, relevance and acceptability of qualifications will be determined under the departmental recruitment rules, Chhattisgarh Industrial Training (Non-Gazetted) Class III Recruitment Rules, 15 May 2019.
• Applications from candidates who have passed only the State Vocational Examination will not be accepted.
• If a candidate possesses multiple prescribed technical qualifications for a trade, the selection list will be prepared using the marks obtained in the certificate with the highest percentage.

Domicile Requirement

• Applicants must be native residents of Chhattisgarh.
• A residence certificate issued by the competent authority must be submitted.

Selection Process / Recruitment Process

1.      Merit-based selection: The selection list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the educational and technical qualifications specified in the applicable service recruitment rules.

2.      CTI/ATI preference where required: For posts requiring CTI/ATI, candidates holding a one-year CTI/ATI certificate will be considered based on marks obtained in their technical qualification (ITI, diploma or degree).

3.      If CTI/ATI candidates are unavailable: Candidates meeting the prescribed technical qualifications may be selected based on marks in their technical qualifications.

4.      Multiple qualifications: Where a candidate holds more than one prescribed technical qualification, the certificate with the highest percentage of marks will be used for preparing the selection list.

5.      ublication of results: The selection list will be displayed on the institution's notice board.

6.      Communication: Selected candidates will be contacted by telephone and must accept the invitation and undertake the training work.

7.      Waiting list: If a selected candidate does not join within the prescribed period, the selection may be cancelled and the first candidate on the waiting list may be offered the opportunity, followed by other candidates in order.

How to Apply (Step-by-step)

1.      Obtain the prescribed form. Use the application format provided with the recruitment notification.

2.      Select the institution and trade. Clearly mention the institution and the trade/subject for which you are applying.

3.      Fill in personal details. Enter your name, father's/husband's name, mother's name, date of birth in figures and words, correspondence address, mobile number and permanent address.

4.      Enter qualifications. Provide examination names, passing years, board/university names, trade/subject, maximum marks, marks obtained and percentages.

5.      Attach supporting documents. Include self-attested copies of all required educational, technical and residence certificates, along with a photograph.

6.      Declare relevant information. Disclose any criminal or penal proceedings against you, if applicable.

7.      Sign the application. Complete the declaration and signature fields.

8.      Submit the application. Either:

o    Deliver it personally to Government ITI Kurud during office hours; or

o    Send it through Indian Post to the Principal, Government ITI Kurud, District Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh.

9.      Meet the deadline. Submit the application between 16 October 2026 and 30 October 2026.

10. Check the selection list. Monitor the institution's notice board and keep your mobile number available for telephone communication.

Important: Submit a separate application for each institution and each trade/subject. An application mentioning more than one institution or more than one trade/subject will not be accepted.
