Educational Qualification

Candidates must have:

• Passed 10th Class/SSC/Matriculation or equivalent under 10+2 system with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
• Possess ITI Certificate/National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trade.
• Qualification must be completed on or before 07 July 2026.
• Candidates awaiting results are not eligible.
• Engineering Graduates and Diploma Holders are not eligible.

Age Limit (As on 07 July 2026)

• Minimum Age: 15 Years
• Maximum Age: 24 Years

Date of Birth:

• UR: 07.07.2002 to 07.07.2011
• OBC: 07.07.1999 to 07.07.2011
• SC/ST: 07.07.1997 to 07.07.2011

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST: 5 Years
• OBC (NCL): 3 Years
• PwBD: 10 Years
• Ex-Servicemen: Service rendered in Defence + 3 years (subject to conditions).

Selection Process / Recruitment Process

Selection will be based on:

1.      Merit List

2.      Document Verification

3.      Medical Fitness Examination

No Written Examination

No Viva/Interview

Merit will be prepared by giving equal weightage to:

• Matriculation Marks
• ITI Marks

In case of a tie, the older candidate will be given preference.

Pay Scale / Salary Details

Selected Apprentices will receive stipend as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the prevailing rules/instructions issued by the Railway Board and the concerned State Government.
