Educational Qualification

SSC (Tech) Women

• B.E./B.Tech Degree in the notified Engineering Streams.
• Final-year Engineering students are also eligible, subject to the conditions mentioned in the notification.
• Candidates must complete the Engineering Degree and submit all semester mark sheets by 01 April 2027.

Defence Personnel Widow Entry

• SSCW (Technical): B.E./B.Tech in any Engineering Stream.
• SSCW (Non-Technical): Graduation in any discipline.

Age Limit (As on 01 April 2027)

SSC (Tech)-68 Women

• Minimum Age: 20 Years
• Maximum Age: 27 Years
• Candidates should be born between 01 April 2000 and 31 March 2007 (both dates inclusive).

Defence Personnel Widows

• Maximum Age: 35 Years.

Age Relaxation

Separate age eligibility of 35 years is applicable only for widows of Defence Personnel.

Selection Process / Recruitment Process

The selection process includes:

1.      Online Application

2.      Shortlisting of Applications

3.      SSB Interview

4.      Medical Examination

5.      Merit List

6.      Issue of Joining Letter

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the SSB Interview. Final selection will be based on merit and medical fitness.

Pay Scale / Salary Details

During Training

• Stipend: ₹56,100 per month

After Commissioning

• Rank: Lieutenant
• Approximate Annual CTC: ₹17–18 Lakhs per annum (excluding free medical cover and one annual hometown journey).

4.      Select the appropriate Engineering Stream.

5.      Upload all required documents.

6.      Verify all information before submission.

7.      Submit the application before 06 August 2026.

8.      Keep a printout of the submitted application for future reference.

Important Instructions / Terms & Conditions

• Applications must be submitted online only.
• Candidates must apply only for eligible Engineering Streams.
• Any mismatch in Engineering Stream details will lead to rejection.
• Final-year students must complete their degree before 01 April 2027.
• Candidates with name variations must submit an affidavit.
• Medical standards prescribed by the Indian Army must be fulfilled.
• Shortlisting will be based on cumulative marks.
• SSB Centres and Interview Dates will be allotted online.
• Training duration is 49 weeks.
• Minimum service liability is 10 years, extendable up to 14 years.
• Permanent Commission option is available after 10 years, subject to policy.
