Educational Qualification

Senior Resident

Candidate must possess:

• PG Degree or Diploma / DNB in the concerned specialty from a recognized university.
• Valid registration with MCI / State Medical Council.

Initial appointment will be for one year and may be extended yearly up to a maximum total period of 3 years, subject to satisfactory work performance reported by the concerned regular HOD and analysis of work performance by the Medical Superintendent.

Full-Time Specialist

Candidate must possess:

• PG Degree or equivalent with 3 years of post-PG experience, OR
• PG Diploma with 5 years of post-PG experience in the respective specialty from a recognized university.
• Valid registration with MCI / State Medical Council.

Senior/Junior Resident against vacant GDMO Post

Preference will be given to candidates possessing:

• PG Degree or Diploma / DNB.

If such candidates are unavailable:

• MBBS candidates with experience and/or good clinical knowledge in any discipline will be considered.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in ESIC and are well versed with the online Dhanwantri module.
• Valid MCI / State Medical Council registration is required.

Age Limit

Cut-off Date: 20 August 2026 – Date of Interview

Age Relaxation

Selection Process / Recruitment Process

Selection will be conducted through a:

Minimum qualifying marks: 50% marks in the interview are compulsory for selection.

The decision of the Selection Board will be final on all aspects of selection. No further correspondence will be entertained.

Selection is also subject to the candidate providing a Medical Fitness Certificate issued by the appropriate competent authority.

Pay Scale / Salary Details

The remuneration for the 1-year Senior/Junior Resident against GDMO posts may be revised from time to time according to ESIC Headquarters instructions.

1.      Check the required eligibility criteria for the concerned post.

2.      Fill the prescribed application form given as Annexure-A.

3.      Affix a recent passport-size colour photograph in the prescribed space.

4.      Fill in post, department, personal information, category, communication address, contact number and email.

5.      Enter MBBS/MD/DNB/PG Diploma and other qualification details.

6.      Provide MCI/State Medical Council registration details.

7.      Provide current employment details and NOC information, where applicable.

8.      Enter educational qualification and experience details.

9.      Sign the declaration.

10. Bring two recent passport-size photographs.

11. Bring one set of required photocopies/attested or self-attested copies as applicable, along with original documents for verification.

12. Report for the Walk-in Interview on 20 August 2026.

13. Document submission/reporting must be completed between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.

14. Candidates reporting after 11:00 AM will not be considered.

Candidates Completing Bond Period

If original documents are deposited with a Medical College for completion of the Bond Period, the candidate must produce:

• Certificate issued by the Principal of the concerned Medical College; and
• NOC from that institution confirming that it has no objection to the candidate joining ESIC Hospital, Bikaner if selected.

Important Instructions / Terms & Conditions

Contract & Tenure

1.      Number of vacancies may increase or decrease without prior notice.

2.      Specialist engagement is purely contractual for one year, extendable up to a maximum of 3 years after the break period, subject to requirement and satisfactory work, or until a regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier.

3.      Senior Resident engagement is contractual for one year, extendable up to maximum 3 years after the break period, subject to requirement and satisfactory work performance.

4.      For Senior/Junior Residents against vacant GDMO posts, services will terminate immediately when a bond JR or regular incumbent joins. The notification specifies “last in first out.”
