Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the CRP CSA-XVI Notification for recruitment of Customer Service Associates (CSA) in participating Public Sector Banks for vacancies of 2027–28. Eligible candidates can apply online from 01 August 2026 to 21 August 2026. Applicants must possess a Graduation degree and fulfil computer literacy and local-language requirements. The prescribed age limit is 20 to 28 years as on 01 August 2026, with relaxation for eligible categories. Selection consists of Online Preliminary Examination, Online Main Examination, Local Language Proficiency Test where applicable, and Provisional Allotment. Educational Qualification

Cut-off Date: 21 August 2026

Candidate must possess:

A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

Candidate must possess a valid Mark-sheet/Degree Certificate showing that he/she is a graduate on the date of registration and must indicate Graduation percentage while registering online.

The final result of the required educational qualification must have been declared on or before 21 August 2026.

Computer Literacy

Operating and working knowledge of computer systems is mandatory.

Candidate should have:

  • Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/language; OR
  • Studied Computer/Information Technology as one of the subjects in High School/College/Institute.

Local Language

Candidate applying for a particular State/UT must be proficient in:

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Speaking
  • Understanding

the specified/opted local language of that State/UT.

Ex-Servicemen Qualification

Ex-Servicemen without the prescribed civil educational qualification may be Matriculate Ex-Servicemen who obtained Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding Navy/Air Force certificate after completing at least 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union as on 21 August 2026.

The certificate must be dated on or before 21 August 2026.

The Main Examination carries 200 marks. These marks will be converted to marks out of 100 for provisional allotment.


Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)

Candidates must be proficient in the selected local language of the State/UT.

Candidates who produce a 10th standard or above mark sheet/certificate showing that they studied the specified/opted local language will not have to undergo the language test.

For others, LLPT is conducted after qualifying the Main Examination/provisional allotment but before joining.

Candidates failing LLPT will not be offered appointment.

The CSA will also be eligible for allowances and perquisites according to the rules of the respective Participating Bank in force from time to time.

2.      Open the “CRP CSA” link.

3.      Select “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CRP-Customer Service Associates (CRP-CSA-XVI)”.

4.      Click “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION.”

5.      Enter the required basic information.

6.      A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated and also sent by email/SMS.

7.      Fill in personal, educational, category and other required information.

8.      Select the State/UT for provisional allotment.

9.      Upload the required photograph and documents.

10. Use SAVE AND NEXT to verify and modify details before final submission.

11. Check all entered information carefully.

12. Complete registration.

13. Pay the applicable fee/intimation charges through online mode.

14. Candidates may voluntarily provide documents/credentials through the integrated DigiLocker facility.

15. Keep the registration credentials and application-related records safely for subsequent stages.

Once COMPLETE REGISTRATION is clicked, changes will not normally be permitted as specified in the application instructions.

Important Instructions / Terms & Conditions

Candidates should note these important conditions:

  • Participating Bank may reject the candidature of a provisionally allotted candidate.
  • Vacancies given in the notification are indicative and anticipated.
  • Final provisional allotment depends upon actual vacancies reported by participating banks.
  • Category and other eligibility details generally cannot be changed after registration and expiry of the Edit Window.
  • OBC candidates claiming reservation must belong to the Non-Creamy Layer.
  • OBC-NCL certificate should be in the prescribed Government of India format and satisfy the date requirements specified in the notification.
  • EWS certificate must be valid for 2026–27 relating to financial year 2025–26.
  • PwBD reservation generally requires benchmark disability as prescribed under the RPwD Act, 2016.
  • Candidates using a scribe must comply with all prescribed scribe rules.
  • Eligible candidates using a scribe/qualifying disability concessions receive prescribed compensatory time, generally 20 minutes per hour or as otherwise advised.
  • Candidates should possess/acquire a valid Aadhaar card for the CRP process; Aadhaar verification may be conducted.
  • No request for change of examination centre will be entertained.
  • Candidates attend the examination centre at their own risk and expense.
  • False/misleading information or violation of recruitment procedures may result in disqualification/debarment.
  • Candidates should regularly check the IBPS website and registered email/mobile for updates.
  • Decisions/clarifications of the Director, IBPS regarding CRP CSA-XVI are final and binding.
