• Scientist-D: 8 years
• 2-year relaxation for higher qualification (ME/MTech/MPhil)

• Scientist-C: Max 35 years
• Scientist-D: Max 40 years

Selection Process / Recruitment Process

1.      Screening Test (MCQ based, 150 questions, 3 hours)

2.      Evaluation of Academic Records

3.      Personal Interview

• Minimum qualifying marks:
• General: 60%
• OBC: 50%
• SC/ST/PwBD: 40%
• Final merit based on 150 marks (120 evaluation + 30 interview)
