Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Marketing Division, Western Region has released Advertisement No. IOCL/MKTG/WR/APPR/2026-27 dated 05 October 2026 for engagement of Trade, Technician and Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act. Apprentices will be engaged in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. The recruitment covers Technician, Trade, Graduate and Data Entry Operator disciplines. The selection will be based on merit in the prescribed qualification, followed by document verification and pre-engagement medical fitness. There will be no written test or interview. Other Educational Eligibility Conditions

  • Qualifications must be obtained through a full-time regular course.
  • Part-time, correspondence or distance-learning qualifications are not eligible.
  • Candidates with CGPA/OGPA/Letter Grade must provide the equivalent aggregate percentage according to their Board/University/Institute norms.
  • A certificate showing equivalent percentage must be furnished during document verification.
  • Diploma candidates admitted through a recognized lateral-entry scheme are also eligible, subject to the prescribed percentage based on all Diploma semesters. indian oil 05

If the result declaration date is not mentioned on the mark sheet, the candidate must submit a certificate from the Principal of the Polytechnic/College/Institute showing the date of publication of result. indian oil 05

Apprenticeship Training Period

A candidate may undergo a maximum of two apprenticeship trainings, and the second training must not be in the same trade. Normally, there must be at least one year between two apprenticeship trainings, subject to the conditions specified in the notification. indian oil 05


Selection Process / Recruitment Process

Selection will be carried out as follows:

1.      Candidate must successfully register on the applicable NAPS/NATS portal.

2.      Candidate must apply against the IOCL Western Region opportunity.

3.      Candidates meeting the notified eligibility criteria will be considered.

4.      A merit list will be prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed essential qualification.

5.      Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification.

6.      Shortlisted candidates must complete the Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness Test.

7.      Candidates whose documents and medical fitness certificate are found satisfactory will receive the apprenticeship engagement offer.

8.      Unfilled opportunities may subsequently be filled from the panel-cum-merit list. indian oil 05


Pay Scale / Stipend

2.      Latest Caste Certificate for reserved-category candidates.

3.      Latest OBC-NCL Certificate, where applicable.

4.      Certificate from the Institute confirming:

o    Year of passing

5.      Semester-wise/Year-wise mark sheets of:

o    ITI

o    HSC

o    Graduation

o    Diploma in Engineering, as applicable

6.      Final ITI/NCVET/SCVT Certificate, HSC, Graduation or Diploma Certificate.

OBC-NCL Certificate Requirements

For claiming OBC-NCL reservation:

  • Certificate must be latest.
  • It must not be more than 12 months old from 30.09.2026.
  • It must be in the prescribed Government of India format.
  • It must specifically establish that the candidate does not belong to the creamy layer.
  • OBC candidates belonging to the creamy layer are not eligible for OBC reservation.
  • Such candidates may apply as UR, provided they satisfy UR age criteria.
  • Only communities included in the Central Government OBC-NCL list will be treated as OBC-NCL for reservation.
  • The caste mentioned must appear in the Central List of OBCs for the respective state. indian oil 05

PwBD / Disability Provisions

  • PwBD reservation is applicable as per Government of India guidelines.
  • Persons with benchmark disability must have the required disability certification.
  • The notification refers to a benchmark disability of 40% or more where applicable under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
  • A Disability Certificate issued by the competent authority under the applicable Rules is required.
  • PwBD candidates are not eligible for Discipline Codes 101 to 111.
  • PwBD candidates must be capable of performing assigned tasks/taking instructions with suitable aids and appliances.
  • The notification lists disability categories including:

Important Instructions / Terms & Conditions

1.      Seats are tentative and may increase/decrease.

2.      Candidates registered with Local/State Employment Exchanges/PwBD Vocational Rehabilitation Centres and meeting eligibility requirements must apply through NAPS/NATS.

3.      Higher professional qualifications such as B.E./B.Tech, MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA, LLB or equivalent make the candidate ineligible under the conditions stated in the notification.

4.      Candidates pursuing higher qualifications that will be completed on/before joining are also not eligible.

5.      Suppression of higher-qualification information may result in cancellation/termination.

6.      False information can lead to cancellation and possible criminal prosecution.

7.      SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates applying against UR seats must satisfy the standards applicable to General candidates.

8.      Applications must be submitted only for vacancies in the notified Western Region states/UTs.

9.      Candidate's profile must be 100% complete.

10. Incomplete or ineligible applications may be rejected.

11. Applications must be submitted before 04.11.2026, 5:00 PM.

12. Candidates should regularly check the IOCL website for updates.

13. Corrigendum/addendum/updates will be published on the IOCL apprenticeship website.

14. Only one discipline code can be selected.

15. Candidature remains provisional until verification of certificates/documents.

16. Incorrect, doctored or false documents/information can result in cancellation even after engagement.

17. Selected candidates must be medically fit.

18. Management's decision regarding eligibility, rejection, selection and vacancies will be final.

19. Incomplete/late/incorrect applications will be rejected.

21. Document verification/empanelment does not automatically create a right to apprenticeship engagement.

22. Completion of apprenticeship does not create a right to employment with IOCL.
