A. Senior Project Associate – Information Technology

Either:

1.      Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science/Information Technology from a recognized University or equivalent, or MCA from a recognized University, with 3 years' experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science & Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services.

Age Limit & Age Relaxation

• Maximum Age: 40 years

Project Associate-I

• Maximum Age: 35 years

Age limits are relaxable for candidates of statutory groups according to CSIR/Government of India rules.

Cut-off Date

Candidates must fulfil the essential and other stipulated criteria as on 12 October 2026.

Category-wise Relaxation

Selection Process / Recruitment Process

The recruitment process includes:

1.      Online application.

2.      Written test at the specified posting location.

3.      Written-test results will be declared on the same day.

4.      Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.

5.      Interview will be conducted in hybrid mode (offline/online).

6.      Interview may be conducted on the day of the written test or another day, as informed after the written test.

7.      If required by the Committee, candidates may be asked to attend the interview in person.

8.      Candidates are requested to wait after the written test for results/instructions unless informed otherwise.

Note: Mere fulfilment of minimum qualification does not guarantee being called for interview.

Pay Scale / Monthly Emoluments

Senior Project Associate

₹42,000/- + HRA per month

Project Associate-I

₹31,000/- + HRA

For candidates who have qualified:

• CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship, or
• GATE, or
• Selection process through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments, their Agencies and Institutions.

₹25,000/- + HRA

For other candidates who do not fall under the above category.

5.      Submit the application before 12 October 2026, 5:00 PM.

6.      After submission, keep the generated application number safely for future correspondence.

7.      If applying for more than one post, submit a separate application for each position.

8.      Appear at the prescribed posting location for the written test on the specified date and reporting time.

Important Instructions / Terms & Conditions

1.      Applications must be submitted online only.

2.      Applications through any other mode will not be accepted.

3.      Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

4.      Candidates applying for multiple posts must apply separately for each position.

5.      All essential eligibility criteria must be fulfilled as on 12 October 2026.

6.      Candidates in the final semester or awaiting results are not eligible.

7.      Candidature is purely provisional and subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria.

8.      No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Test/Interview.

9.      The project-staff tenure is co-terminus with the project.

10. The total tenure, including all CSIR postings, cannot exceed six years cumulatively at CSIR-TKDL Unit and/or different CSIR laboratories.

11. Performance of project staff will be reviewed periodically.

12. Staff not found up to the mark may be terminated without assigning any reason.

13. Contractual engagement does not confer any right to continuation beyond tenure, absorption or regularisation in CSIR.

14. Contract may be terminated by either side with one month's notice or one month's stipend in lieu thereof.

15. Project staff will be governed by applicable CSIR guidelines.

16. Posting location may change according to project requirements.

17. Project staff may be required to travel according to project needs.

18. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Women will be as per CSIR/Government of India rules.

19. Head, CSIR-TKDL Unit may increase/decrease the number of positions or cancel the recruitment process at any stage.

20. The decision of the Head, CSIR-TKDL Unit will be final and binding.

21. Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.

22. Mere possession of minimum qualification does not confer a right to be called for interview.
