Educational Qualification

For Workshop Calculation & Engineering Drawing (WCS & ED):

Basic Qualification

Candidate must have:

1.      Passed High School or equivalent from a recognized Board, or passed Class 11th under the old system.

Technical Qualification

Candidate must possess the prescribed technical qualification in the relevant trade, including the qualifications mentioned in the advertisement such as:

• National Trade Certificate issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT); or
• National Apprenticeship Certificate issued by the National Council for Vocational Training; or
• State Trade Certificate issued by the State Council for Vocational Training; or
• National Apprenticeship Certificate / equivalent prescribed certificate; or
• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university/institution, as applicable under the prescribed qualification.

The PDF further states that candidates who have passed ATI / CTI / NTCI / RTI / ITOT-type higher training courses from DGT higher training institutions will be given preference in selection.

Selection Process / Recruitment Process

The selection process is primarily based on technical qualification marks and merit.

Selection Rules

1.      For posts where CTI/ATI qualification is required, a merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the technical qualification, giving priority to candidates holding the required CTI/ATI certificate.

2.      If a CTI/ATI-qualified candidate is not available, candidates possessing the prescribed technical qualification will be considered on the basis of their technical qualification marks.

3.      Where a candidate possesses more than one prescribed technical qualification certificate, the certificate/qualification having the highest marks will be considered for preparation of the merit list.

4.      Separate applications are required for different institutions/trades/subjects.

5.      A candidate selected for more than one institution/trade/subject will be treated as selected for only one institution/trade/subject, as specified in the conditions.

6.      The selection/merit list will be displayed on the institution notice board and the district NIC portal.

7.      Selected candidates will be given an opportunity to join according to the approved selection list and prescribed sequence.

Pay Scale / Salary Details

The engagement is on an honorarium basis.

• Honorarium: ₹140 per working day
• Maximum working time considered: 5 hours per working day
• Maximum monthly honorarium: ₹15,000
• The rate may be changed from time to time according to the rate prescribed by the Government.
• If a Guest Lecturer remains absent for more than one day during the month's working days, deduction will be made from the prescribed honorarium.

The PDF also states that honorarium will be paid only when the required budget is available under the relevant government provision.

Attach self-attested copies of the relevant certificates and mark sheets.

Attach the required self-attested photograph in the space provided on the application form.

Step 6

Attach the required affidavit/declaration as prescribed.

Step 7

Submit the completed application:

• By registered post/speed post, or
• Personally/in person

to:

Principal, Government Industrial Training Institute, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Education City, Jawanga, Geedam, District Dantewada, Chhattisgarh – 494441.

Step 8

Ensure that the application reaches the office by 25 August 2026, 5:00 PM.

Applications received after the last date will not be considered. The name of the institution and trade/subject must be clearly mentioned on the envelope/application.

Documents Required

The PDF requires/supports submission of relevant self-attested documents, including:

1.      Educational qualification certificate

4.      CTI /ATI /NTCI /RTI /ITOT certificate, wherever applicable

Important Instructions / Terms & Conditions

The PDF contains 20 numbered conditions. The important provisions are:

1.      Application must be submitted only in the prescribed format.

2.      Applications must be submitted to the Principal, Government ITI Geedam.

3.      Applications that are incomplete, unclear or defective will be rejected without further information to the applicant.

4.      Selection will be based on technical qualification marks according to the applicable recruitment rules.

5.      Where CTI/ATI-qualified candidates are required, preference/merit provisions specified in the advertisement will apply.

6.      Guest Lecturers may be engaged for a maximum of one training session at a time.

7.      If the training work or conduct of a Guest Lecturer is not satisfactory, the Principal/Institution Head may, after giving an opportunity to explain, decide whether to continue or discontinue the engagement.

8.      If regular/permanent/contractual appointment is made against the concerned post, the Guest Lecturer engagement will automatically end.

9.      If a Guest Lecturer is selected/appointed at another institution/trade/subject during the process, the selection for the other institution/trade/subject may automatically stand cancelled.

10. A separate application must be submitted for each institution/trade/subject.

11. Honorarium is ₹140 per working day for up to five hours, subject to the maximum of ₹15,000 per month and applicable government rates.

12. Honorarium is subject to availability of government budget.

13. The applicant must be a native/permanent resident of Chhattisgarh; the PDF states that reservation-related rules will not apply.

14. No claim for any type of government service will be admissible merely because of Guest Lecturer engagement.

15. The number of posts may be increased, decreased or cancelled.

16. Applications must reach the office by 25 August 2026, 5:00 PM; late applications will not be considered.

17. Applications can be submitted personally or through registered/speed post.

18. The selection list will be displayed on the institution notice board and district NIC portal.

19. Applicants must keep checking the district NIC portal and respond to communication regarding training.
