Educational Qualification

Candidates must satisfy either of the following qualification routes:

Option 1

• Post Graduate from a recognized University in the respective subject with at least 50% marks, AND
• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognized institution.

OR

Option 2

• Post Graduate with at least 50% marks from a recognized University in the respective subject, AND
• B.A.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed. from any National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognized institution.

Medium-Specific Eligibility

For medium-specific teachers, the medium of study in SSC should be the same as the medium in which the candidate is applying.

This condition is not applicable to language subjects, such as Gujarati/Marathi/Hindi/English, etc.

Age Relaxation

The notification states:

Upper age limit is relaxable as per Orders/Guidelines issued by the Central Government from time to time.

Selection Process / Recruitment Process

The recruitment process consists of:

1.      Written Test

2.      Interview

3.      Document Verification

A Written Test for PGT candidates will be conducted on the same day before the Interview.

Candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks in the Written Test to become eligible for the Interview.

Candidates obtaining less than 40% marks in the Written Test will therefore not be eligible to proceed to the Interview.

Pay Scale / Salary Details

Fixed Remuneration: ₹29,000/- per month

The same fixed monthly remuneration applies to all five PGT subject posts.

No other allowances, grade pay, pay level or additional benefits are mentioned in the PDF.

Nature & Duration of Appointment

The engagement is:

Purely on Short-Term Contract (STC) basis

under Samagra Shiksha, Diu for the Academic Year 2026-27.

The engagement will automatically terminate upon completion of the contract period or as per directions issued by the Administration from time to time.

Selected candidates will have no claim or right for regular appointment in the Department.

Paste a self-attested recent passport-size photograph on the application form.

Attach self-attested copies of all relevant supporting documents/certificates.

Attend the Walk-in Interview at Government Higher Secondary School, Diu on 10-08-2026 at 09:30 A.M.

Step 10

Bring all original documents for verification at the time of Interview.

Appear for the Written Test, which will be held on the same day before the Interview. Only candidates securing at least 40% marks will be eligible for the Interview.

Important Instructions / Terms & Conditions

1.      Candidates must attend the Walk-in Interview with the application in the prescribed format and self-attested copies of all relevant documents/certificates.

2.      Candidates must produce original documents for verification at the time of Interview.

3.      A Written Test for PGTs will be conducted on the same day before the Interview.

4.      Only candidates securing a minimum of 40% marks in the Written Test will be eligible for the Interview.

5.      The selected candidates will have no claim or right for regular appointment in the Department.

6.      Engagement will automatically terminate upon completion of the contract period or as per directions issued by the Administration from time to time.

7.      Appointment is purely contractual in nature.

8.      The application declaration states that candidates acknowledge that the post carries no right for regularization in future.

9.      All statements in the application form must be true, complete and correct to the best of the candidate's knowledge and belief.

10. If any information is found suppressed, false or incorrect, or if ineligibility is detected before or after the examination, the candidate's candidature/engagement is liable to be cancelled.

11. Candidates must sign the declaration in the application form.
