Educational Qualification

Candidate must possess a Full-Time Diploma in Engineering from a Government/Government Recognized/AICTE approved Polytechnic/Institution.

Minimum Marks

• General: 60%
• SC/ST: 50%

Discipline-wise Qualification

Electrical

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering OR Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Mechanical

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Information Technology

• Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology / Computer Technology

Instrumentation

• Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering

Civil

• Diploma in Civil Engineering

Candidates must upload semester/year-wise mark sheets and final pass certificate.

Nationality & Residency

Candidate must:

• Be an Indian Citizen.
• Be a Permanent Resident of Assam.
• Upload Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam.
• Employment Exchange Registration Certificate is also accepted as proof of residency.

Age Limit

Cut-off Date: 01 January 2026

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 38 Years

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST: 5 Years (up to 43 years)
• OBC/MOBC: 3 Years (up to 41 years)
• PwBD: 10 Years
• Ex-Servicemen:
• Maximum 50 years for UR
• Additional relaxation:
• 3 years for OBC/MOBC
• 5 years for SC/ST

Age will be calculated based on Class X/Class XII Admit Card/Certificate/Marksheet showing Date of Birth.

Selection Process / Recruitment Process

Selection procedure is Direct Recruitment.

The Commission may conduct:

• Screening Examination
• Written Examination
• Interview / Viva-Voce
• Document Verification
• Medical Examination (if required)

The Commission may modify the selection procedure by issuing corrigendum/addendum if necessary. Zone-wise examinations may be conducted depending on the number of applicants.

Pay Scale / Salary Details

• Pay Scale: ₹25,000 – ₹92,000
• Grade Pay: ₹12,100
• Other allowances as admissible under Assam Government Rules.
