Educational Qualification

The candidate must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science from any recognized University.

Age Limit

As on: 01.01.2026

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 30 Years
• For bonafide residents of Chhattisgarh: Maximum Age 40 Years

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST/OBC (Chhattisgarh): Up to 5 years.
• Women candidates who are local residents of Chhattisgarh: Up to 10 years.
• Government servants (Permanent/Temporary): Additional 5 years over and above applicable relaxation.
• Physically Disabled Persons (Divyang): As per Government of Chhattisgarh GAD Circular dated 27.09.2014.
• Maximum age after all relaxations shall not exceed 45 years.

Selection Process / Recruitment Process

Selection shall be made on the basis of Examination conducted in two phases:

Phase-I: Written Test

• 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
• Total Marks: 50
• 1 Mark for each question
• No negative marking

3.      Information, Information Science, Information Society.

5.      Information Management & Knowledge Management.

6.      Organisation of Knowledge/Information.

8.      Library Cataloguing – Canons and Principles.

9.      Library Cataloguing Codes.

10. Management – Principles, Functions, Schools of Thoughts.

11. Information Technology Components.

12. Impact of IT Society.

13. Computer Hardware, Software.

14. Storage Devices.

15. Input/Output Devices.

Qualifying Marks:

• UR/OBC: Minimum 50%
• SC/ST: Minimum 40%

Candidates qualifying Written Test shall be called for Skill Test in ratio of 1:15.

Phase-II: Skill Test

Total Marks: 50

Final Merit:

• Prepared on the basis of marks obtained in Phase-I and Phase-II.

Tie-Breaking Rule:

• Older candidate (earlier date of birth) will rank higher.
• If date of birth is same, candidate with higher qualification will get preference.

Pay Scale / Salary Details

• Level-4 of Pay Matrix
• Pay Scale: ₹19,500 – ₹62,000

2.      Affix self-attested passport size photograph.

3.      Attach self-attested copies of required certificates/documents.

4.      Place application and enclosures in an envelope.

Important Instructions / Terms & Conditions

1.      Number of posts may increase or decrease.

2.      Recruitment is subject to final outcome of SLP (C) No. 19668/2022 of Supreme Court of India.

3.      SC/ST/OBC reserved posts are only for bonafide residents of Chhattisgarh.

4.      OBC candidates must not belong to creamy layer.

5.      Women reservation applicable only to local residents of Chhattisgarh.

6.      Candidate must be a citizen of India.

7.      Candidate should possess good character and sound mind/body.

8.      Candidate should not have more than one living spouse.

9.      Candidate should not have been dismissed from service by any High Court, Government or Local Authority.

10. Candidate should not have been convicted for offences involving moral turpitude.

11. Reserved category candidates must submit prescribed certificates.

12. Divyang candidates with less than 40% disability will not be considered under Divyang category.

13. Required qualification must be possessed on or before the last date of application.

14. No TA/DA will be paid.

15. Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted.

16. Applications in any format other than prescribed format will be rejected.

17. Unsigned applications will be rejected.

18. Admit cards will be uploaded on the High Court website only.

19. Written Test and Skill Test dates will be notified separately.

20. Competent Authority reserves the right to reject applications or modify/cancel recruitment at any stage.

21. Selected candidates shall remain on probation as per rules.

22. Recruitment records shall be liable to be destroyed after six months from declaration of result.
