Educational Qualification

Associate Engineer Grade II

Process

• B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering) in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.

SMED-II

• B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.

SMED-I

• B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Environment, Water & Safety

• B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering) in:
• Chemical Engineering, or
• Civil Engineering, or
• Environment Engineering, or
• Industrial Pollution Abatement.
• Minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Associate Engineer Grade III

Process

• B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering) in Chemical Engineering.

Electrical

Instrumentation

• B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering) in Instrumentation & Electronics / Instrumentation & Control.

SMMS

• B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering) / Integrated Dual Degree in Metallurgy / Materials / Corrosion.

Structural/Gen Civil

• B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering) in Civil Engineering.

All qualifications require minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Experience Requirement

Grade II Posts

• Minimum 5 years relevant post-qualification experience.

Grade III Posts

• Minimum 9 years relevant post-qualification experience.

Relevant experience varies by discipline and includes engineering/design work in refinery, petrochemical, gas processing, fertilizer, chemical, offshore plants, pipelines, LNG facilities, water treatment plants, corrosion studies, structural design, etc.

1.      Engagement is on fixed-term basis.

2.      Initial tenure: 2 years.

3.      Extendable up to maximum 3 years from joining date.

4.      Services terminate automatically after contract expiry.

5.      Candidates may be posted anywhere in India or abroad.

6.      Medical fitness is mandatory.

7.      No claim for regular employment in EIL.

Important Instructions

1.      Eligibility cut-off date is 31.05.2026.

2.      Separate applications required for multiple disciplines/posts.

3.      Email ID must remain active for at least 24 months.

4.      Corrigenda/updates will be published only on EIL website.

5.      Incorrect information can lead to cancellation of candidature.
