Educational Qualification

For JRF-E1 to JRF-E12, JRF-M1, JRF-M2, JRF-M3

• M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc. (Engineering) or equivalent Post Graduate Degree in the relevant discipline.
• First Class with minimum 60% marks or CGPA/CPI 6.5/10.
• Must have qualified:
• CSIR-UGC NET (including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship), OR
• GATE, OR
• Other recognized National Level Examinations conducted by DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.

For JRF-E13

Option 1

• M.Sc. in Mathematics/Physics
• First Class with minimum 65% aggregate or CGPA/CPI 6.84/10

OR

Option 2

• M.Tech. or equivalent Post Graduate Degree
• First Class with minimum 60% marks or CGPA/CPI 6.5/10

Plus valid NET/GATE or equivalent qualification.

NET / NET Equivalent Qualifications Accepted

• CSIR-UGC NET (including Lectureship)
• GATE
• JAM
• JEST
• National-level examinations conducted by DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.

Pay Scale / Salary Details

Fellowship

•  
• JRF Fellowship: ₹37,000 per month
• May be upgraded to SRF with ₹42,000 per month
• HRA admissible if hostel accommodation is not provided.
• Medical benefits for self as per rules.
• No DA payable.

Fellowship Tenure

• Initial tenure: 2 Years
• Extendable based on performance and project requirement.
• Maximum JRF + SRF tenure: 5 Years.

Important Instructions / Terms & Conditions

• JRF position does not guarantee regular employment in ISRO.
• Degrees must be recognized by AICTE/UGC or Government-authorized bodies.
• Candidates pursuing professional courses through ODL mode are not eligible.
• Final-year/result-awaiting candidates are not eligible.
• Applications accepted through online mode only.
• Interview will be conducted at Bengaluru.
• No request for change of interview venue/date/email ID will be entertained.
• Number of vacancies is provisional and may change.
• Candidate candidature can be cancelled at any stage if found ineligible.
• Government employees must submit NOC from employer.
• CGPA-to-percentage conversion is not allowed for eligibility determination.
• Selected candidates may be posted at any ISRO/DOS Centre in India.
