Educational Qualification

Candidate must possess at least Second Class (45%) in any one of the following:

• M.Sc. in Geology
• M.Sc. in Applied Geology
• M.Sc. Tech in Applied Geology
• M.Tech in Applied Geology
• Integrated M.Sc. Tech in Applied Geology

Qualification must be from a University/Institution recognized by the Government.

Domicile Requirement

Candidate must:

• Be an Indian Citizen as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
• Be a permanent resident of Assam.

Accepted proof of residence:

• Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC), or
• Employment Exchange Registration Certificate

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 38 Years

Age will be calculated based on:

• Class X Admit Card
• Class X Pass Certificate

• Class XII Marksheet

No other document will be accepted for age proof.

Selection Process / Recruitment Process

Direct Recruitment

The detailed selection procedure will be notified later by APSC.

The Commission may conduct:

• Screening Examination
• Written Examination
• Interview/Viva-Voce
• Other tests as decided by the Commission

The Commission may also conduct examinations zone-wise depending on the number of applicants.

Fee Instructions

• Category relaxation requires valid category certificate.
• Applications without prescribed fee will be rejected.
• Fee once paid is non-refundable and cannot be reserved for future examinations.

Additional allowances will be admissible as per Assam Government rules

PwBD Candidates

• Must possess benchmark disability of 40% or more.
• No post is reserved for PwBD candidates.
• PwBD candidates will compete without reservation benefit.

Government Employees

Candidates already in Government service must upload:

• Certificate from competent authority.
• NOC for pay protection/continuation in service, where applicable.

Candidates must submit Form-A declaration regarding Small Family Norms.
