Educational Qualification

The minimum qualifications for appearing in CTET are as notified by NCTE. Candidates are advised to visit the NCTE website to verify eligibility.

The minimum qualifications for teaching staff should be according to:

1.      NCTE Regulations notified from time to time

2.      Recruitment Rules of the Appropriate Government

3.      Recruitment Rules of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan or Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti

Minimum Marks Required

• A person scoring 60% or more in the TET exam will be considered CTET pass.

Age Relaxation

• Relaxation up to 5% in qualifying marks in minimum educational qualification is allowed for:
• SC
• ST
• OBC
• Differently-Abled Candidates

Subject Requirements

Paper-I

For candidates intending to teach Classes I to V.

Paper-II

For candidates intending to teach Classes VI to VIII.

• Multiple applications may lead to cancellation of candidature.
• Examination city will be allotted randomly by CBSE.
• No request for change of examination city/date will be accepted.
• Candidates must carry Admit Card to examination centre.
• Use of unfair means/electronic gadgets is strictly prohibited.
• No re-checking/re-evaluation of result will be entertained.
• Fee once paid will not be refunded.
