At the time of Document Verification / Joining:

Age Relaxation (Category-wise)

• SC / ST / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 5 years
• Women Candidates: 10 years
• Chhattisgarh Government Employees: Up to 38 years
• Temporary / Contingency / Project Employees: Up to 38 years
• Retrenched Government Servants: Deduction of service period (max 7 years)
• Ex-Servicemen: Deduction of defence service period (max 3 years)
• Green Card Holders (Family Welfare Programme): 2 years
• Inter-Caste Marriage Award Beneficiaries: 5 years
• Awardees (Shaheed Rajiv Pandey Samman, Gundadhur Samman, Maharaja Pravirchandra Bhanjdev Samman, National Youth Award): 5 years
• Civic Army Volunteers: Relaxation up to 8 years (maximum age 38)
• Chhattisgarh Domicile Candidates: Additional 5 years relaxation extended up to 31.12.2028

Maximum age after all relaxations shall not exceed 45 years in any case.

Selection Process / Recruitment Process

1. Written Competitive Examination conducted by
   Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (Vyapam)
2. Merit list prepared and provided to the department
3. In case of tie in marks, older candidate (by Date of Birth) will be preferred
4. Final eligibility decision rests with the Chief Engineer, Water Resources Department
5. Document verification
6. Police verification
7. Medical fitness certificate from District Medical Board
