Educational Qualification

Essential Qualifications:

• Good academic background.
• B.Sc. (Mathematics) with CGPA 6.0 or 60% and above.
• M.Sc. (Mathematics) with CGPA 6.0 or 60% and above.
• Qualified GATE (Top 100), NET (JRF).
• Good research background in Number Theory.
• Ph.D. Degree.

Marks Relaxation

• 5% relaxation in marks may be granted to SC/ST candidates.

Selection Process / Recruitment Process

• Applications will be shortlisted based on eligibility and project requirements.
• IIT Delhi reserves the right to adopt higher criteria for shortlisting.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be informed for the online interview.
• Interview details will also be displayed on the IRD website.

• Appointment is purely contractual.
• Appointment is subject to periodic performance review.
• Appointment is renewable yearly or until completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
• IIT Delhi may apply higher shortlisting criteria.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an online interview.
• Salary of retired/superannuated government employees, if selected, will be fixed as per prevailing IRD norms.
• SC/ST candidates may receive 5% relaxation in marks.
• Last date for submission is 17 July 2026, 5:00 PM.
