Educational Qualification

Candidate must possess:

Essential Qualifications

1.      Master's Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from an Indian University or equivalent foreign university recognized by the Government of India.

2.      Must have cleared NET conducted by UGC/CSIR or similar test accredited by HPPSC.

3.      NET/SLET/SET is the minimum eligibility condition.

Relaxations

• 5% relaxation (55% to 50%) for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer).
• 5% relaxation for Physically and Visually Handicapped candidates.
• 5% relaxation for Ph.D. holders who passed Master's Degree before September 1991.

NET/SLET/SET Exemption

Ph.D. candidates registered before 11 July 2009 are exempted from NET/SLET/SET subject to prescribed conditions regarding Ph.D. evaluation, publications, viva-voce, and presentations.

Desirable Qualification

Knowledge of customs, manners, dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in peculiar conditions prevailing in the State.

• Maximum Age: 45 Years
• Age Calculation Date: 01-01-2026

Age Relaxation

Five years upper age relaxation is admissible to:

• SC of Himachal Pradesh
• ST of Himachal Pradesh
• OBC of Himachal Pradesh
• WFF of Himachal Pradesh
• Persons with Disabilities of Himachal Pradesh

For HP Government Employees and Ex-Servicemen, age relaxation shall be as per Government instructions.

Selection Process / Recruitment Process

The selection process consists of:

Stage 1: Screening Test / Subject Aptitude Test

Paper-I

Objective Type Screening Test (CBT/Offline)

• Duration: 1 Hour
• Marks: 100
• Subjects:
• General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh – 30 Marks
• National & International Affairs – 30 Marks
• Hindi Language – 20 Marks
• English Language – 20 Marks

Paper-II

Descriptive Subject Aptitude Test (SAT)

• Duration: 3 Hours
• Marks: 120

Minimum Qualifying Marks in SAT

• General Category: 45%
• Reserved Categories: 40%

Stage 2: Personality Test

• Marks: 30

Minimum Qualifying Marks

• General Category: 40% (12 Marks)
• Reserved Categories: 30% (9 Marks)

Final Merit

Final merit shall be based on:

SAT Marks (120) + Personality Test Marks (30).

Pay Scale / Salary Details

Emoluments for Job Trainee: ₹35,000/- per month.

2.      Click on Apply Online.

3.      Open One Time Registration (OTR) for Examinations.

4.      Register through New Registration if not already registered.

5.      Login using OTR credentials.

6.      Select the advertisement and post.

7.      Fill the Online Recruitment Application (ORA).

8.      Upload all required documents.

9.      Pay the examination fee online.

10. Verify all information and submit the application.

11. Download and save the submitted application for future reference.

Applications submitted through any mode other than online will be rejected.

Important Instructions / Terms & Conditions

• Applications must be submitted online only.
• Application fee once paid is non-refundable.
• Candidates must upload clear and legible documents.
• Original documents will be verified during Personality Test/Document Verification.
• NOC is mandatory for candidates in regular Government service.
• Admit cards will not be sent by post; candidates must download e-admit cards online.
• Negative marking is applicable in objective tests.
• One-fourth (0.25) marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
• Leaving a question blank also attracts negative marking.
• Entry to examination venue closes 30 minutes before commencement.
• Number of vacancies may increase or decrease.
• Rechecking/Re-evaluation is not allowed.
• Providing false information or documents may lead to cancellation of candidature and debarment.
