Training Period for all trades: 1 Year

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have:

1.      Passed 10th class examination or equivalent (10+2 system) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board.

2.      Possess National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the notified trade issued by NCVT or Provisional certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT.

Note: Engineering Graduates and Diploma holders are not eligible to apply under this notification.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 15 years
• Maximum Age: 24 years
• Age Calculation Date: 10 March 2026

Selection Process / Recruitment Process

Selection will be based on Merit List.

Merit Calculation

• Percentage of marks in Matriculation (minimum 50%)
• Plus ITI marks in the relevant trade

The merit list will be prepared based on simple average of marks in Matriculation and ITI.

Tie Breaking Rule

1.      Candidate with higher age will be preferred.

2.      If age is also the same, candidate who passed matriculation earlier will be considered first.

Merit list will be prepared:

• Cluster-wise
• Unit-wise
• Trade-wise
• Community-wise

Candidates will undergo document verification and medical fitness verification before final engagement.

Pay Scale / Salary Details

Selected apprentices will receive stipend as per Railway Board rules.

Stipend

• National / State Certificate Holder: ₹9600 per month

How to Apply (Step-by-Step)

1.      Visit the official website www.rrccr.com.

2.      Open the Apprentices Recruitment notification.

3.      Register and fill the online application form.

4.      Enter personal details and Aadhaar number or valid ID.

5.      Upload required documents (photo, signature, certificates).

6.      Pay the application fee (if applicable).

7.      Submit the application form online.

8.      Download and print the completed application form for future use.

Documents Required

Candidates must upload the following documents:

1.      SSC / 10th mark sheet

2.      Proof of date of birth (10th certificate or school leaving certificate)

3.      Consolidated ITI mark sheet

4.      National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT or SCVT

5.      Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC if applicable)

6.      Non-Creamy Layer certificate for OBC (if applicable)

7.      Disability certificate (PwBD candidates)

8.      Discharge certificate or serving certificate (Ex-servicemen or their children)

Original documents must be produced during document verification.

• Apprenticeship training does not guarantee employment in Railways.

• The decision of Railway administration regarding selection and eligibility will be final.
