Educational Qualification

Candidates must have:

1.      Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University in India or equivalent qualification.

2.      English Shorthand Speed: Minimum 100 words per minute.

3.      English Typing Speed: Minimum 40 words per minute.

4.      Knowledge of Data Entry, Word Processing and Computer Operation.

Preferential Qualification

Preference will be given to candidates who:

• Served in Territorial Army for minimum 2 years, OR
• Possess NCC ‘B’ Certificate.

The recruitment consists of three stages:

Stage-I Examination

Part A – General Studies (CBT)

• Type: Objective MCQ
• Questions: 100
• Marks: 200
• Duration: 90 minutes
• Negative Marking: No

Part B – Computer Knowledge Test

• Typing reproduction of 500-word judgment passage
• Duration: 15 minutes
• Marks: 100
• Minimum Qualifying Marks: 50

Part C – Translation Test

• Shorthand passage translation to English (~250 words)
• Duration: 15 minutes
• Marks: 100
• Minimum Qualifying Marks: 50

Stage-II Examination

Shorthand Dictation Test

• Dictation: ~500 words in English
• Dictation Time: 5 minutes
• Transcription Time: 30 minutes
• Maximum Marks: 200
• Minimum Qualifying Marks: 160

Stage-III Examination

Interview

• Maximum Marks: 75

Total Marks

• Stage-I + Stage-II + Stage-III = 675 Marks

Final merit list prepared on aggregate marks.

Pay Scale / Salary Details

• Pay Level: Level-10
• Salary: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500
• As per 7th Pay Commission.
