Educational Qualification

Candidate must have passed Matriculation (10th) Examination with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from boards recognized by the Ministry of Education,

Government of India.

Candidates appearing in Class 10 board exams of academic year 2025–26 are also eligible to apply, provided they produce the original mark sheet during later stages of recruitment.

Agniveer 01/2027 Batch

Candidate should be born between 01 December 2004 – 31 May 2009 (both dates inclusive).

Agniveer 02/2027 Batch

Candidate should be born between 01 May 2005 – 31 October 2009 (both dates inclusive).

Eligibility for INET 2026

Candidates born between 01 December 2004 – 31 October 2009 are eligible to apply for INET 2026.

Selection Process / Recruitment Process

The recruitment process includes two stages.

Stage-I

Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET)

Exam details:

• Mode: Computer-based test
• Total Questions: 50
• Marks per Question: 1
• Duration: 30 minutes
• Exam Type: Objective (MCQ)
• Language: Hindi and English
• Sections:
• Science & Mathematics
• General Awareness
• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.

Stage-II

1.      Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

2.      Written Examination

3.      Recruitment Medical Examination

Pay Scale / Salary Details

Agniveers will receive the following monthly package:

Total Corpus Fund Contribution: ₹5.02 lakh by candidate and ₹5.02 lakh by Government.

• Travel allowance

How to Apply (Step-by-Step)

1.      Visit the official website https://joinindiannavy.gov.in.

2.      Register and log in to the candidate portal.

3.      Fill the online application form for Stage-I INET 2026.

4.      Upload required documents and photograph.

5.      Pay the examination fee online.

6.      Submit the application before 06 April 2026 (17:00 hrs).

7.      Download the admit card from the website when released.

Applications can also be uploaded through Common Service Centres (CSC) with a service fee of ₹60 + GST (optional).

Documents Required

Candidates must upload and produce original documents including:

1.      Educational certificates and mark sheets

2.      Domicile certificate

3.      NCC certificate (if applicable)

4.      Identity proof

5.      Police verification form

6.      Passport size photograph

7.      Other certificates uploaded during online application.

Important Instructions / Terms & Conditions

1.      Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible.

2.      Agniveers will serve for four years under the Agnipath scheme.

3.      Agniveers cannot marry during the four-year service period.

4.      Only up to 25% of each batch may be selected for permanent enrolment as sailors after four years based on performance.

5.      Agniveers will receive life insurance cover of ₹48 lakh.

6.      Pension and gratuity benefits are not applicable.

7.      Mobile phones or communication devices are not allowed inside examination premises.

8.      Multiple applications by a candidate will lead to cancellation of candidature.

9.      Incorrect information or counterfeit documents will result in disqualification.
