Special CHO Rules

For the Community Health Officer (CHO) post:

• Live registration with the Chhattisgarh Nursing Council is mandatory.
• Where live registration is not available, after selection the candidate may be given 45 days to obtain it.
• For the relevant nursing-cadre posts, a 20-mark test/skill/written test relating to childbirth/delivery procedures and newborn care may be conducted before the selection committee by a government B.Sc./GNM institution professor/tutor.
• For CHO candidates who have passed the integrated Community Health certificate course, the prescribed certificate from the concerned college/principal is required.

The recruitment is on a contract basis, with a fixed/lump-sum monthly remuneration.

The contract is stated to be valid up to 31 March 2027, subject to satisfactory work and approval under the applicable ROP. JANJGIR CHAPAA

Important Experience Rules

• Experience certificates are accepted only from government, semi-government and government-funded autonomous institutions, as specified in the advertisement.

• Experience of less than 12 months is not counted.
• Experience certificates containing overwriting/corrections may be rejected.
• Experience must be related to the applied post.

COVID-19 Experience Benefit

Candidates appointed in government health institutions during the COVID-19 pandemic and continuously serving for 6 months may receive 10 bonus marks for selection to the relevant Class III and Class IV posts, subject to the conditions mentioned in the advertisement and production of the required experience certificate. Waiting List

• A waiting list will be prepared for advertised posts.
• The waiting-list validity is one year from the date of publication, or until the advertised post is filled, whichever occurs first.
• For 25 advertised posts: candidates equal to 200% of vacancies may be kept on the waiting list.
• For 26–50 posts: 150%.
• For more than 50 posts: 100%.

Contract / Service Conditions

• Appointment is contractual.
• Contract is initially up to 31 March 2027.
• Extension may be considered based on satisfactory performance and availability/approval under the relevant ROP.
• Monthly fixed remuneration and other admissible amounts will be paid as per approved ROP.
• If performance is unsatisfactory, the appointing authority can terminate the service by giving one month's notice or one month's salary.
• The employee may also leave by giving one month's notice or depositing one month's salary.
• Annual performance evaluation will be carried out for continuation/extension of service. JANJGIR CHAPAA
